Sodrugestvo is looking for a strong professional to join its international team in Luxembourg. If you are an experienced international soft commodity trader with strong interpersonal relationship, you are the one we are looking for!

Meal and Soybeans Trader
position located in Luxembourg

Job objectives:

Leading all international meal and soybeans trade, negotiate prices and terms, manage and maintain international meal and soybeans clients, properly hedge meal and soybeans exposure in full alignment with the risk management policy.

Job description:

  • Leading all international meal and soybeans products;
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing flows of meal and soybeans;
  • Conduct market analysis on a daily basis in order to take the right decisions on long-short positions for the meal and soybeans related business, including daily contacts with originating team;
  • Keeping long-short positions on a daily basis. Weekly reporting thereon;
  • Analysis of world market trade;
  • Direct export sales, build up network via brokers and if needed, via other traders to sell in close coordination with other offices;
  • Oversee the development of new business and identify opportunities for improvement, including commercial and strategic business direction;
  • Involvement in projects related to any international meal and soybeans trade or origination;
  • Properly hedge meal and soybeans exposure within the risk management policy and in accordance with instructions and decisions of the Risk Committee;
  • Establish departmental goals and KPI’s.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent;
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in soft commodity trading at managerial level in an international environment;
  • Experience with trade routes and legal requirements across various geographical areas;
  • Strong communication, presentation and decision making skills, pro-active, result oriented, competent leader;
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts;
  • Planning and organizing skills;
  • Attention to detail and quality, service oriented;
  • Fluency in English.
